Well, if you take a poll of people at concerts I think they would disprove your opinion but to each his own. I personally do wear band shirts to shows occasionally but again, the average person thinks it's pretty stupid.

And as I said before, the shirt you want to wear would make no sense to most people. I am a huge fan, have been for years and LOVE SVT but I have no idea what that line even means.

And no need to get defensive. You asked for opinions and I gave you one.
who gives a fuck if the poll is 1000 to 1 in favor of not wearing the tee shirt of the band your seeing? you must lead a pretty sad life if you care about what people wear and what the results of a poll on a message board are. does it make you feel good to be in the majority and to feel "cool?" let people wear what they want and don't judge them. god i hate people so much.

I've gotta be honest with you. We all know about "That guy" who wears shirts of the band he is going to see. You would be that guy x 1000 if you wore that shirt. Maybe 50 people in the arena would get it and the rest would think you were on drugs when you got dressed that day. Just my opinion.

We all saw the movie PCU. If Jeremy Piven had never given that line, 90% of the people out there would never say "don't be that guy"

    wear what you want

I think it's completely MORONIC that I own a RIDICULOUS amount of Pearl Jam clothing and NEVER wear any of it to the shows. (and when I say ridiculous amount...I mean it wholeheartedly... we're not talking 25 here.....)

    Gor for it!

And... for the record... everyone knows Stone was the problem. :)

Everyone here should make shirts that proclaim us to be Stone's Bitches. On the back it should read 'Don't Give Him No Lip'.

Oh, wait. Sorry. This is the wrong board for that idea.

IMO its cooler if you wear a vintage T of the band, as opposed to the current tour T just purchased from Merch. Save that one for class tomorrow ha ha.
For some sporting events, say a hockey or football game, its uncool not to wear some type of fan garb. h

Is to be comfortable in your own skin.

    Wear what you want...always...

If you want to wear Pearl Jam that day...Wear it!

If you want to publicly say you think Trace Adkins is hot. Say it.

If you would rather wear cute girly clothes to shows rather than PJ t's...wear 'em.

Just do YOUR thing and you will be cool... and people will think you're cool.

i like to wear show specific shirts of shows that were hard to get in to or far away, or classics etc to show everyone how cool i am.

that, and i like to have people start conversations with me about how awesome of a show it was, etc

How about a shirt that goes something like this:

    ->MINE<-
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

So I've seen it around before but am still not quite sure what 'it's Stone's fault' refers to. Can someone please explain, thanks..

Have you ever seen Single Video Theory, the documentary about the recording of YIELD?

Ed has a line in the video about "It" being "Stone's fault" and devotees of the video have been known to throw that around here as an explanation for any and every thing that goes wrong.
