Might just be the most change I've seen from him this far.Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

No need to worry, Fox News will handle that request quite well.

Change we can believe in = oh yeah, I meant same old shit
Not that any of it matters...as long as the sound bytes are catchy and charisma is flowing.
what's funny is how the lefties around here bitched in 04 about people saying how they liked Bush because he was 'down to earth' and he was 'a guy you'd like to have a beer with'. Now that it's their candidate...charisma is all you need, apparently. Sing us that next pretty fairy tale.If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.

Meanwhile, the Republicans are running a candidate who thinks he's a Democrat. It's like the bizzaro election!!!everybody wants the most they can possibly get

But Obama's part of the Demmiecrat party, so it's okay to like him for whatever reasons they can find. It's as if the two Bush tenures were part of some huge door-in-the-face technique to make every politician ever seem palatable by comparison.Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.0

funny ppl demonize bush now (and rightly so) and yet...so much of the 2 party's policies are the same. why just bush/cheney???? the foreign policies are almost exactly identical! you hear very little criticism about clinton other than getting a blow job then lying about it under oath. how the democrats have this image as an opposition party is beyond me
change we can believe in...until after election day, then we can all go back to bitching about the 2 party's being worthless and ineffectual

Foresight and hindsight don't seem to have much relevance in politics. It's all about what sounds good now - that's why Bush being out of office is a good thing, and electing someone who talks a good game with very little to back it up seems like the best idea in the world.Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.0

no doubt. they say nader should instead be elected to the senate before running for president...but look at obama! he went to court and had everyone else thrown off the ballot or kept going to court until they dropped out...then he goes to washington, supports all the hawks, misses almost 1/2 of the votes in the senate...so nader's long resume isn't good enough, but obama winning an uncontested race and pretty much doing nothing but go on a nonstop media tour is somehow better?standin above the crowd

I don't get this. Obama's average donation is $100. No big money and he's got plenty of money to go. Hillary is in the red and McSame is borrowing heavily from W's name. He's run a relatively clean campaign against Hillary AND the Repugs and he's winning! I don't expect the guy to do miracles but I think he's a step in the right direction, especially if he can get Edwards, Kucinich, NADER(!!!) in his administration. So there! Thphtphptphpthptphp!!I want to point out that people who seem to have no power, whether working people, people of color, or women -- once they organize and protest and create movements -- have a voice no government can suppress.
