Obama reminds me of a coworker of mine who constantly feels the need to remind everyone he's gay and Spanish. I'm straight and Irish. Who gives a sh*t?

if you don't give a shit, why do you have to tell us you're straight and irish...?

Yea but like most half blacks who i am friends with, (actually there are a few) they always seem relate to the black side. Not sure why but its what I have noticed.

    .

Since you don't know why, let me try to explain. Its because many white folks call them "n*****".

The point is, regardless of whether someone is bi-racial or not, that still very real, racist element of white American society regards "bi-racial" individuals as black and throws them in the same pile as those with two black parents. It isn't like "bi-racial" citizens are treated any differently by racist society than other blacks. Why wouldn't these individuals identify with their black heritage and gravitate towards it for a sense of community?
