Wow, talk about fear mongering. You do know that myth was de-bunked right? Talk about using women, and fear mongering. Congrats you have been duped, by the Obama machine.

How does one get a $50 exclusively designed dress? Please let me know so I can tell my wife! Does anyone really believe that about Michelle Obama.

I think you still can't grasp the fact that campaign or party expenses have to be listed on their financial reporting..

The dress is made for her on her taste and ideas for different designs and then they run that same design in the thousands and they are sold in stores like Target, so its a nice way to get a $50 custom made dress and the designer makes money selling that same dress at stores, obviously Michelle Obama doesn't care if another 10,000 women are wearing the same dress as she does.

And the point here is that if she buys her clothes with her own money then it shouldn't matter to anyone... but that was not the case with Sarah Palin's clothes..

It was a forum on CNN with people from Obama's and McCain's campaign, and they confirmed that it was true.

Apparently, Michelle even wore one of the dresses on the View and it was a topic of discussion. I don't know how she managed to score that kind of a deal...maybe because of her celebrity status?

  • uh, maybe she has a friend who makes them for her? fabric isn't that much, you know. but, hey, you don't need to know how...you've already made up your mind that it's a lie.

that is the case, see my response above.
When she appeared in The View, a lot of women loved the dress she was wearing and asked about it I guess to the show, and then Michelle explained that they could all get it at stores like Target or Macys for $50 ...

It shouldn't matter that she uses her political influence to get sweetheart deals from major corporations? I thought that was what everyone was fighting. You know corporation bad communism good?

it's not a "sweetheart deal"....it's a 50 dollar dress. you could buy one too if you wanted, sweetheart.

It was custom made by the actual designer, who is reachable only by appointment.

Just curious, what do you find tasteless and disgusting?
I hope this isn't a suggestion that Fox News is NOT tasteless and disgusting?

To quote from article: "There is a real rape kit story, by the way. Some states allow local governments to treat them like regular medical expenses and seek reimbursements. Illinois, for example.

Gee, isn’t there some national politician from the Illinois legislature who could have actually done something about this policy"

Not as tasteless and disgusting as some in the media suggesting Palin's down syndrome son was actually birthed by her daughter. I don't find Fox News particularly tasteless and disgusting.

I would argue that equating Obama to Osama and joking about killing them both is pretty close, I would argue that every word that comes out of Bill O'Reilly's mouth does too. Tasteless and disgusting barely begins to describe it.

That lady was not part of Fox News, she was a guest. The actual host did not encourage or condone her speech in any way. What has Bill O'Reilly said that is tasteless or disgutsting? Have you watched the show? Obama interviewed with O'Reilly and said he was very fair.

No, not the small donations. Those are made from people named "test" and live in "Every Town". He will not publish the over 3 million small contributions under $200. Those can copme from any and he does not report them. McCain does he wants transaprency, apparenlty Obama does not.

No One is asking asking how much Obama spent on clothes? Too busy degrading the female governer from Alaska by reporting how much they spent on clothes for her? She is one of the most popular governers in America with one of the highest approval ratings, and her state has been an unmitigated success? The biggest question the media could ask one week was how much did she spend on clothes?!?! They went right for the women shopping stereotype. Women wake up the dems are using you.... again.

So you have a problem with Palin getting those clothes which they are donating to charity, yet you have no problem with Obama promosing to take public financing, lying about it, and then trying to buy an election with $650 million dollars? You don't have a problem with Obama not declaring where his money is coming from? McCain posts every donations sources on a website, Obama refuses to do this? That's ok? He's not scamming?
it's illegal to use rnc donations on clothing. there will be a huge public lawsuit.

Belittling the son of a man who died in 9/11, who spoke only the truth, telling him to shut up and that his dead father would be ashamed of him, on television, before cutting his microphone without allowing him to respond is despicable. In the UK he would never have worked on TV again.

Then there is the attempts to justify comments about Sylvia's in NYC in which he shows himself completely ignorant about african americans, which is fine, the attempts to pass them off as complementary is not, the fact that a person so ignorant who holds these prejudices is allowed a forum through which he can spread them, that being Fox News, is disgraceful. A man who couldn't believe that the patrons of a black restaurant could be so civilised has no business portraying his views as "fair and balanced".
