Me and the boys will be plotting our next move in the "financial crisis" over Rosh Hashanah dinner tonight, lol.

Where there's smoke, there's not always fire...sometimes it's just the smoke machine that was pulled out of some conspiracy theorist's ass.

But to answer your question IndianSummer...there are various professions in this country that are disproportinately filled with people of certain backgrounds, races or religions. Perhaps the fields in question simply hold great value within each of these groups' respective "communities," so there's a predisposition to members from these groups to enter the field. Still, I doubt there are nearly as many Jews in these positions as you're being led to believe.

For what it's worth, I've never felt most of our past and present "leaders" really give a shit about the "Jewish State" or "our strategic friend and ally in the Mideast." They only "care" because of the money and power held by those who truly care, by birthright.

Who ever said that "cerebral and/or influential walks of like" are only those that you cited in your OP? Those seemed to all just revolve around banking or finance related activities. What about doctors/lawyers/engineers, etc? These are also cerebral/influential activities...and they aren't necessarily "ruled" by jews.

What is your point?

but they are. go check for yourself. harvard medical school, john hopkins, mt sinai.....check their websites. check the names of the top attorneys in usa and the names of the top guns in the u.s. judiciary.

precisely. thats what i wanted to hear.

that it is no coincidence that they are over-represented in all the top slots. its because they are brilliant. they are also clannish to a fault, but that doesnt erode their academic ability, if anything, it builds on it.

It explains the whole Israeli thing... and why a presidential candidate in a country half way around the world uses the protection of Israel as a means of winning votes, gaining donations and starting war. I'm not blaming any Jewish people... BUT, as an outsider looking in, the whole America/Israel thing is simply WEIRD! Sure, there are plenty of Jews in America so you could say it's cos of the ties between the two countries... but how come the US never started war with Britain in order to protect Ireland? And there are plenty more Irish in America than there are Jews... so I'm sorry... I just don't buy it. It's all money money money!

the irish in usa arnt as powerful, influential or affluent as the jews in usa. the jews control almost all of the finance, all media, most science, plenty politics and policy making etc etc.

Also for every irish in usa who sympathizes with the irish cause, there are more than one ex-english (anglo-saxon) who similarly sides with the english cause.

it is for the same reason that usa plunged headlong into the first gulf war when saddam annexed kwait, which had historically always been the 18th province of iraq. but the brits had divided iraq before leaving (they essentially divided the oil fields of iraq, into those that lay below kwait and those that lay below iraq) and they wanted things to remain that way. so thacher M. paid bush Sr. a visit and anglo-saxon usa rushed to ensure that saddam paid dearly for daring to go against what poms had ordained, never mind the fact that iraq and its bond with kwait is twice as old as the anglo-saxon colonization of the celtic island, today known as Angel-land.

there are probably as many muslims as there are Jews in the states

They do? Probably cos we've different values other than money and power. You should check that out! Nature and family are quite traditionally important to Irish. Not power and money. Of course there are SOME... many even! But I like to think we know what REALLY matters
