    But yeah, they are amazing creatures, I was just amazed that you brought it up because I was just on NYPJ1's thread about organizing to go diving with them.

    I mean I love them and all but I'm not big on being underwater personally. I love to see it, but from the safety of my armchair when we're talking that deep. :)

    seriously though... Norway's health care and education systems are immense... they have a great welfare system as well.. and Norway is fucking loaded with oil revenues.. Iceland's looks beautiful in pics/movies, but then so does Oz and NZ.. so dunno about Iceland?!

    If Scotland lost the country below us then we'd do ok... we'd be 4th richest country in world with our oil revenues.. and our health care system is awesome just now as it is... could be even better though :)

    hey Hells... i got the Sigur Ros DVD for me Xmas partly on 1. your recommendation of the music and 2. Q and Uncut magazines said its one of the greatest music dvds ever made :eek:

    :D LMAO... I haven't even seen the trailer. I finally got the immagine dvd also but haven't had a chance to watch that either. There's usually at least ONE housemate watching something and I can't say 'sorry I'm just putting on this PJ dvd' although maybe I should :) and I've been away every weekend for I dunno how long

    sigur ros and lovely images of iceland sounds like a match made in heaven cos that's the kinda images their music brings to mind anyway... I always picture I'm lying on a glacier (but lovely and warm somehow) and it's dark and the northern lights are flying aruond above me.

    The name rings a bell, I grew up in B.C. so I have probably been there and just don't remember. The family used to go on trips to various places like Hope, White Rock, Nanaimo, Sechelt, etc..

    It is beautiful isn't it? :) I think that one was taken at the Guadalope islands in Mexico. Its famous as being one of the best places in the world to photograph whites, because of the amazingly clear water. Usually they hang out in cool water that tends to be on the murky side.

    One of the other places that is famous for reliable sightings is Port Lincoln, South Australia.

    They are amazing critters. Absolutely awe inspiring. I just hope that in 20 years time I won't be telling my kids that I saw one before they became extinct :(
