interesting...
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

The ad may be 'from' Nader, but it's not about Nader. It's about McCain and Obama and how they're not so different.

when compared to a fringe candidate whose views are not digestible to 99% of the voting public, i'd say you're right- mccain and obama are probably more alike than either is like nader.

they also both wear pants and, presumably, pee standing up. suddenly i can't tell them apart!!

    I'm sorry.

As much as I respect Nader, his song is getting a little tired at this point. There are MAJOR differences between an Obama Presidency and a McCain Presidency.

In 2000- He was right about Bush and Gore; He had a purpose.

The last 2 elections he's been running on nothing but a damaged ego.

    It's a real shame.

Yes, there are major differences as well. One is black, one is white (funny, isn't it, sweetpotato? I made this joke especially for you  )

I don't understand why people say Nader is running because of his ego. He knows he has no chance to win. Wouldn't that hurt his ego rather than stroke it?

i do NOT think nader was right about bush and gore at ALL. but that's another topic. for the purpose of this thread, i agree with you there are some MAJOR and IMPORTANT differences between mccain and obama, and if people choose not to see that, it is certainly their choice to make. ask what these differences are, and you can simply look at the on the issues website. maybe WHERE there differences lie are not in areas important to some voters, but to ME, they make a WORLD of difference.

btw - i did not watch the video, so not commenting on it's content....just the posts here.

  • That video was a crock of @%^$. Most of those clips of Obama were taken way out of context. For example the one where Obama was on O'reilly and admitted the surge worked (because like it or not it is) but pointed out we should have never been there in the first place. McCain has been and will continue to fight in Iraq at any expense.

Also where Obama says hes for nuclear power and off shore drilling, those are minor concessions to get more support to his 10 year plan to help weed us off of fossil fuels. McCain has no such plan.

It's very irresponsible to claim these two are the same when if you watch the debates you see how far apart they are.
