Hackers get into Palin's personal email

What I don't understand is how you can objectively link this type of behavior to the Patriot Act (one is doing something in attempt to protect yet perhaps an invasion of privacy whereas this act is an invasion of privacy posted on the internet in attempt to gain politically. This is a "person" who hacked into a politicians "personal" email account and then "published" the "personal content". I mean, the government doesn't publish jack shit. Try to be objective for a few minutes and just admit the behavior is wrong.
Jebus again.
wtf?
congratulations that you're so incredibly ambivalent, but some people have seen "both sides" and decided which one is right. To try to pretend like your opinion is greater just because you think you have a "balanced" view is absurd.
Now when I say the above is absurd, this is before I noticed that you actually think the PATRIOT ACT is used to "protect". Absurdity knows no level till someone says something like this. Go ahead, and keep yourself hidden in the self-satisfying notion that the government wants to do nothing but save us all from the evil (Muslim/Arab) terrorists.0 -

Maybe some people, after the outrage and violation of the Patriot Act and this Repub Party's assault on the American people (and International community) are happy to see a steadfast Right Winger get a taste of her Party's own medicine.
Doesn't make it right. But the irony could be very appealing for some people.
Certainly a possibility.0 -

Of course it's wrong. Of course I believe it to be wrong. Didn't you read my post?
Privacy is privacy. And what the government is doing with the Patriot Act is a gross abuse of power and a dispicable disrespect for our Constitution.
There's no excuse for what they have done.
Just as there is no excuse to justify what this hacker did to Palin. But that doesn't mean people won't see the irony and feel a bit of satisfaction at their (Palin and her Party's) outrage and sense of violation. It's human nature.0 -
There is no way I would condone this type of behavior. I don't approve of our government doing it or a private citizen doing it. Regardless of how you feel about the woman it is still wrong to hack into her email account."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0

Relax. You are 100% wrong about the term objective. It does mean you are more objective if you make statements like "I can see where both sides are coming from". That's the point of the term. See the definition...
ob·jec·tive3 a: expressing or dealing with facts or conditions as perceived without distortion by personal feelings, prejudices, or interpretations
That said, I never said my opinion is greater than anyones. I'm trying to say that it's hard for me to understand how someone can not think this act is wrong on either side of the aisle. Yet, I know there are some who are so politically polarized that they can't possibly do that. Their political opinion outweights all moral logic. IMHO that's when the person is completely lost. Bottom line: Politics is BS and politicians are even more of BS. There's no point IMHO to lose your moral fabric (whatever it may be) just to support a political agenda.0 -

Most people in this thread have expressed a complete disgust for this kind of invasion of privacy, regardless of who's doing it. Only a select few have expressed anything other than that.
And let me tell you something buddy, they tapped my phone for over two months and hacked/monitored my e-mails (still do). All because of my outspokeness and activism against this administration and the deeds they have perpetrated.
Apparently that identifies me as a "threat" and "suspect".
If it wasn't for the fact that a very long time ago I used to work with a lot of Law Enforcement officers, quite of few of them employed on the Federal level; I probably would have never known.
For all their invasion of my privacy, intrusiveness, wasteful spending of tax payers money; they had themselves the privilege and the treat of listening to me argue with my Ex a few times a week, multiple conversations about the New York Rangers and hockey in general, calls to family members to see how they were doing, a few staged political conversations with my buddy ........and hours upon hours of converstions about audio loudspeakers, turntables, audio amplifiers, CD Players, vinyl records and musics general; with my audio geek friends.
Oh and one naughty and provocative conversation with the woman I'm seeing; when we couldn't get together one night.
Towards the end of it, I started talking to them directly and making comments to them. I would even pick the phone up off the hook when no phone call was being made and ask them if they wanted a hamburger or good book to read; because they must be bored out of their skulls.
Once a week I still e-mail my buddy a close up picture I took of my hand, giving them the finger and "You're a Facist" written across my fingers.
Yeah, that was one hell of smart manner of spending tax payer's money:rolleyes:
And one hell of an invasion of my privacy!!!!!!!
So don't talk to me about how invasive and outrageous it is!0 -

That's pretty fucked up. A few years ago, I believe it was 2004, I received notification from The FBI that I was visiting inappropriate website. Now before you go off thinking I was checking out fucking kiddie porn I was Googling and visiting sites that had to do with islamic fundamentalists. Not that I was planning on joining but just out of curiosity. So I would assume that they where listening in on me and checking my internet habits and emails."When one gets in bed with government, one must expect the diseases it spreads." - Ron Paul0 -

America is the catalyst in much of the hate, anger and violence twoards America and American interests. It's our foreign policy and agenda.
We are the aggressors in most cases, because we are sticking our nose in their business and because of our heavy presence. We are attempting to manipulate and control the Arab world.
That's why they are angry with us and want to hurt us.
Of course your responses fails to address or account for our Government's and our Corporate interests actions and deeds that have led to where we are today. And where we were on 9/11.
A complete lack of accountibility and responsibility for America's rolle in all of this.0 -

Yes, apparently visiting any website for the sake of education or curiosity to familiarize yourself with a particular subject matter or topic, can be construed as a threat; by the mindless drones. Especially if you go there a few times or visit several similar themed sites.
And yes, I'm sure they were.
Take a picture of your hand and send me an e-mail. There's very little they appreciate more, than a friendly greeting:D

Sorry, dude. But, I have real trouble believing all that. Unless of course your "activism" 'is' or 'has been' or you said 'would be' "somewhat agressive".0 -

like I said before, my family and I were under wiretap surveillance, computer surveillance, and even physical surveillance for 13+ years, and probably still are. for what? activism? what the hell is 'aggressive activism' anyway?0 -

I can believe this one. And I can see reason for them to be suspicious. Can you?
Note: I am not asking whether you agree with thier method or agree with the policy. I think I already know the answer to that. I'm just curious if you can understand why they would be suspicious of you if you were visiting sites that had to do with that material. I mean, they were curious of Pete when he was visiting kiddie sites for his "research". I'm not saying you were doing "research", I do believe you were just curious, but can see my point?0 -
_outlaw wrote:that's bullshit that you would deny something like that for the sake of denying it. Unfortunately, your government is NOT acting in your best interests. if that's shocking, then please pick up a book and read.

Ha. I'm entitled to do whatever I want to do with my opinion. I can "deny" or "not believe" (as I prefer to call it) whatever I choose to.
Once again, I doubt that you were under wiretap unless there was reason for them to do so. Aggressive political activism is politically motivated aggressive threats or politically motivated aggressive behavior ect.0 -

Can anyone supporting Obama condone this?
If you want to blame someone who has the knowledge and skills, Palin, her state employees, her hubby or Carly Fiorina. This is nothing more than a convenient scheme to divert the investigation into troopergate. Palin and the republican party benefit from this scam along with her State employees and State lawmakers.
Hey, why didn't they investigate the Department of State employees who reviewed and released 'classified' personal information on Obama? Instead they dismiss it as a matter of simple curiosity even though the information was more valuable and released to the public.SIN EATERS--We take the moral excrement we find in this equation and we bury it down deep inside of us so that the rest of our case can stay pure. That is the job. We are morally indefensible and absolutely necessary.0 -

who gives a shit whether people "condone" this or not? this stupid argument just further veils the real issue, which is why is this woman using non-official email addresses to conduct official state business?"Ladies and gentlemen, the President of the United States, Barack Obama."
