Scotland gave the world everything, from tv,to the telephone,to your very own navy.
Looks like one of 'your' people were responsible for the concept of an automatic weapon...
 Breech-loading rifle
Patrick Ferguson (1744 - 1780) Born in Pitfour, Aberdeenshire, Ferguson invented the breech-loading rifle, which was capable of firing seven shots per minute. With the help of this weapon, the Americans were defeated at the Battle of Brandywine (1777). He was killed at the Battle of King's Mountain in South Carolina, USA.
 shame on you!0

There is where you are wrong. You as a people have the power to come together and defeat these gun lobbies, the gung ho Presidents, and right wing gun loving scum, but choose to do nothing, you sit back in apathy and do nothing, and let your children and children of the world die.
Not that I think the current administration in America is by any means right, but I would ask, why is it that you seem to expect Americans to unite as a people, when the rest of the world is not unified with their country men?
Why not level this vitriol directly where it should be levelled?
At the rich, and the powerful.
There are millions of average people in this world, busily trying to stay afloat in their lives, that simply do not have the luxury of getting up today and overthrowing their government. They do what they can to help the overall good, when they can.
NOW if you wanna do something constructive for the day, why not make all of us happy and concern yourself with getting Scotland free from Britian like William Wallace wanted?NOPE!!!

I believe it was 1996 after the Port Arthur Massacre here in Australia which also resulted in the buy back and banning of particular weapons.
From memory the man who rampaged in Dunblane was inspired by Martin Bryant the Port Arthur gunman.NOPE!!!

If dunblane had happened in the United states and if the US had a population of 5,062,011 (scotland) and not 298,444,215, handguns would probably be illegal here, too.
Dunblane. very, very horrible, shocking and sad. I didn't know about it before tonight.
 Not all Americans are bad.0

Many people devote their lives to limit or ban guns in the US. I guess you have not seen "Bowling for Columbine" by Michael Moore. Sadly, it's very difficult to overturn a constitutional ammendment giving citizens the right to bare arms no matter how archaic, this right may be. The sad truth is that firearms are a huge business, and when politics and business mix, democracy is weakened and even destroyed.

That's good. Now don't ever move here. And tell your friends and family not to move here either. In fact, I hope the people who live wherever you live decide to never move to the US either. Please stay out. We don't need you here. Thank you.0
