Who is in the lead so far?

Is there somewhere I can check to see if Obama or McCain is currently in the lead?

    in a word ..... no.

    law prohibits anyone to disclose the counts of an election BEFORE the polling has closed in a particular state. I actually think counting CANNOT begin until polls have closed.

    The story in Dixville Notch, NH is an outlier, a tradition, a tiny town that likes to make news every four years but it is NOT how elections run.

    edit, this is why you'll see a lot of networks pushing "exit polls" ... which are polls of people as they exit their voting stations ... DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THESE ... they had Kerry winning big, and historically, they lean democratic. Just wait it out and watch the coverage tomorrow night.

    Ahh, I see. Thanks for clearing it up.

    I checked Sky News and they have a map showing who has more electoral votes, I was surprised to say the least.

    it's probably a projection, certainly not results.
