    I can't see how Catholics are going to switch back to the left in this election.

    It was a great strategic move by McCain.


    i grew up catholic...and beyond JFK...it seems to me the catholics i have known have always held conservative views and thus mostly republicans. i didn't expect any changes on that front in this election.


    i am simply pointing to the fact that she is female, alone, really will make zero difference for most women who support choice.

    no.
    that wasn't my point....at all.
    i simply was stating that focusing on the fact that palin is a woman, while her policies are very much in tune with mccain's...would not make her appeal to hillary voters, or pro-choice females...etc. obviously, candidates are a LOT more than simply one issue, and no...i don't think hillary would appeal to catholics necessarily pro-life or pro-choice.

    adding palin to the ticket DOES spiff up mccain on many levels...and it is a GREAt and strategic choice. makes him appear progressive, on the surface anyway....while really choosing a candidate who supports many of his same views. very smart! as to the war, she can do MUCH to improve mccain's image, that perhaps is the biggest impact she has, so far, imo.

    LOL. This kind of humbleness and humility is exactly why I look forward to seeing Obama lose this year. This doesn't fly in the red states. Kerry/Edwards version 2!

    This is my sentiment also. I can't vote Republican because I have principles :p, and I avoided the kool-aid so I'm not on the Obama train either. Picking Sarah just makes this race all the more interesting. And I might add, it only helps McCain.

    The dems who are hating on Palin are just skeered.

    You took it the wrong way, you obviously can share your opinion, but no matter who he chose, it didn't matter to you is all I meant, so the choice was obviously "NOt for You". ;)

    bottomline...she's a very smart choice!
    that's why i think many obama supporters rejoice far too soon...it's gonna be a tough race, and this just makes it that much more interesting.

    I agree 100%. Keith's ego is getting the best of him now. MSNBC looked like chumps during the DNC convention. He is putting that networks credibility on the line every night. For christ sake he wanted to take Tom Brokaw off the air...

    Oberman, O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Hannity, etc.. have to be the biggest douche bags around. Just the near mention of them makes me want vomit. I personally found great comfort, and pleasure, in how Joe Scarsborrough went after Shuster and Oberman this week.

    As much as the media doesn't want us to believe it we do have a choice in this election. I too think this is an excellent choice because I don't believe the GOP had a chance in hell with a McCain/Romney ticket....this, I think, gives the campaign a HUGE lift.

    Hmmm, I wonder how many homes Palin owns?
    All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

    Is that statement something you want to hear or see? He'll NOT get my vote or support it's just what i see here in DC. Obama will be In the White House cause it comes down to money. I love McCain's VP choice she's my kind of lady a hockey fan.
