    I wonder what the reaction to the movie, awesomely-named "Black Snake Moan" (LOL) will be.

    A movie about a little white chick who gets horny while her husband (played by J.T.) is away at war, so she runs around and ends up being Samuel L. Jackson's slave. LOL! I bet that'll piss some people off. Which is why it's probably a great movie, of course.

    Do I personally see it as sexual harassment? No. In places of work if you were to say something like that to a female co-worker I would bet the house that they would see it as sexual harassment.

    It was a bone head move because you have to walk a very thin line on issues like that. I tell you what, if you think it wasn't a bone head move, go to to some woman you work with or who visits where you work and tell her you've got a camera and would like to take naked pictures of her. See how that works for you. I'm sure she will love that you were just being sarcastic.

    I'm sorry too if someone chooses to ban themselves...will always feel that way.

    I'm also sorry because...what Glenn Beck said was the definition of sexual harassment.

    Many women won't take offense...but it wasn't appropriate to speak to her that way. The reverse is also true if it's a woman to a man. The look on her face spoke volumes. Hopefully he has apologized to her.

    Keep it within the guidelines, or should I call you a name too?

    You can't use that standard alone as an absolute comparison.

    For example, athletes do the "pat on the butt" thing as a "good effort!" gesture. So, based on your reasoning, it's perfectly acceptable for me to run around patting chicks on their asses if I think they tried hard.

    absolutely nothing. i was just saying that alone can't be used as the standard. i didn't see the show so i have no comment on it. i wonder how many others on here are commenting on the show without seeing it.

    actually, that is exactly the standard used to analyze title vii sex discrimination cases. to some extent there is allowance for different contexts. you can pat somebody in the locker room on the ass but not your secretary. however, language like that is inherently sexual harassment. i've spent this entire semester studying title ix and title vii. his comments are legally clearly sexual harassment. granted, they were mild harassment and i dont think it's a huge deal. but it does make him look like a jackass on national tv and it was far more awkward and uncomfortable than funny.

    I finally watched this for the first time. Now, I cant stand Beck. I think he's annoying and I disagree with him on probably ever issue but this left me with two thoughts.

    First off...who cares? He was trying to be flirty and if that chick was cool she would've gone with it a little bit just to be cool and make it less awkward. She's a stuck up B.

    Secondly. All of you making a big deal out of it, what if it was Bill Maher or Jon Stewart? You'd have a different opinion.

    As much as I'd love to blast this guy come'on. He's a guy.

    yeah, if women want to be cool they should stop turning men down. if a boss tells her to sleep with him or quit her job, she should just go with it to make things less awkward :rolleyes:

    no, if bill maher had done this, id be equally critical. jon stewart less so, becos people know his show is a joke and would expect a light ribbing. more importantly, jon stewart wouldn't say something like that becos he has class.
