    and then there are people who I agree with most of the time that have also challenged me but differently, showed me new angles and perspectives, taught me new things etc.

    my picks are soulsinging (even though i can win, somtimes too ;) ), angelica (cause i don't know what she's talking about half the time), collin (he's a very sensible thinker... kinda like me ;) ), and catefrances (she comes off a bit scary sometimes :eek: )

    How can anyone be afraid of something or someone on the internet? Unless he/she is of the weakminded sort.

    Well I'm glad it's not just me!

    There's no one that I'm afraid of, but there are a few people I'd prefer not to engage in a debate ... not because I'm afraid of being proven wrong, that wouldn't bother me at all ... but because something about their posting style annoys me and I feel obligated to keep responding, so it gets progressively more annoying. People who pick ideas to pieces and then debate the semantics bore me straight to tears. Anyone who stoops to namecalling or other childish tactics prove to everyone that they don't have an argument, so I feel like I'm wasting my time with them. And people who claim to be experts but can't come through with the facts, or worse yet, post what they claim are facts but are actually blatant falsehoods ... well, they bring out the worst in me.

    not necessarily afraid, dood. what i meant by it was if there was a person who they actually knew would put up a good argument.... since there are a lot of tuff discussions on these boards. you know what i mean...

    yeah, i know what you mean... there are a lot of those.

    i get onto the sports message boards and everybody says that very same thing over and over.... it gets pretty annoying. (but i have to admit... i've done it myself :cool: but i do it with style ;) )

    but honestly though..... anybody ever given you a good debate? anyone?

    Dont mind debating with anyone really but there is at least one person i can think of that i try and avoid replying to nowadays, as their posts are always really sarcastic, which i honestly cant be bothered with.
    People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.

    Nah i wouldnt say. I dont really mind them, they are probably sound in person, they just come across as a know it all and a bit obnoxious, and i cant remember reading a post by theirs that wasnt riddled with horrendous levels of sarcasm!
