historically, campaigns are full of moving speeches. not impressed. speeches don't move me, I need action.

Obama has this pie in the sky outlook that's just not realistic. where does he think all this money's gonna come from for all his nation-healing policies? oh right ... TAXES. we are going to be taxed to death by him. I don't find that exciting.

Did you listen to the speech. Obama admitted to his shortcomings...and realized he'd have to work through them...he's the best candidate I've seen in my lifetime.

Republicans and their president pissed away Billions of dollars so the ole vote for democrate and pay higher taxes is lame....really lame. One of the main reasons oil is so high is due directly to the weekending dollar and stife in this country...so want to talk about taxes?!?!

True. Though going into debt for education and health care would be a more fruitful and realistic investment than pie in the sky killing, torturing, and raping people who never did anything to us.
okay...guess I should have read the last page.....nice response.

  • After watching Obama's speech last night, I made the comment that Barack Obama's campaign is the world's most expensive and long-winded Hallmark card, much to the chagrin of my girlfriend who is a big Obama supporter.

It will be 1960 all over again. Nixon compared to JFK will be pretty similar to McCain compared to Obama during a debate.

    agreed.

i wonder if in this election the dems will again be talking about how important military service is to be commander and chief. i will take a wild guess at no...

glad that the state of afghanistan post soviet invasion made such a lasting impression on some people on what to do after.

Careful, there. That may end up as more of a problem for you than her. ;)

Tell me about it....I've never had to focus so hard on keeping my mouth shut and even then I've been far from completely successful. I'll be happy when this damn election is over.... ;)

Actually, the Dems were just upset at the hypocracy of Republicans attacking a man's military service when they did absolutely everything they could to avoid serving themselves.

No one's attacking McCain's service at the moment. No one's passing out POW band-aids. No one's saying that McCain had himself captured on purpose.

I was at the excel energy center in st. paul Tuesday night. It was incredible. The energy of the crowd reminded me of a PJ concert (certainly not PJ's 03 performance in St. Paul though).

He isn't perfect, but he's the best we have. Are all the people who openly rip on him mccain supporters? I'm being serious.
