    I quoted this song in my high school year book back in 97. the song is still just as powerful now.

    One of the best moments of my life was watching this and Immortality back to back in Vancouver '05

    yeah, this one is one of my favourites! love the studio version because of that eddie's smooth and clean voice! i absolutely love live versions from 98 and 2000 because stone's guitar sound and matt's powerful drum sound. but i have to admit that i don't like versions from 2003 and to present because stone uses acoustic guitar and overall they just don't nail it down as they used to in the past. that's just my opinion and i still love it.

    I'm also a huge fan of this song. I remember having a debate with a fellow student in my Calculus class (in high school) about Nothingman being better than Betterman. To this day I still believe NM is a better song and should have been the bigger 'hit.'

    betterman isn't nearly as good as nothingman. that is a brilliant song.

    This is THE song, for me. I absolutely adore it, and feel so lucky to have finally seen it live at my last show, in Nijmegen last year. The sun was going down, the fans sang loud and Ed sounded great. It was such a special moment for me.

    I had an argument with my sister last week and she said a few hurtful things. I just kept thinking of Nothingman "some words when spoken, can't be taken back"

    Its all good now on the homefront now. Still love the song

    the words to this song describe almost exactly the decline and end of my relationship with my two boys dad. line for line. its like ed looked into my house and head and wrote the words.
    we seperated after he started using heroin, tried to work things out, and eventually gave up. he's still addicted, has nothing and has a pretty shitty life from what i know. he could have been something ... once

    a beautiful song all the same - but i doubt ill ever hear it without thinking about things

    Ahhh...a great song off my favorite album! The lyrics are brilliant...the music...simple yet chilling. Ed's voice is amazing!

    It was the perfect placement for a song. Tremor Christ flows right into Nothingman...which flows right into....da na na na na na na na...don't need a helmet...got a hard hard head...

    I go from being reflective...to wanting to punch someone in the face! (figuratively)

    I like Nothingman but nowhere near a fav BUT

    Of all 3 Sydney concerts that I attended the version at Syd 1 is still probably the standout. One of the best versions of any song Ive heard PJ do
    I'll ride the wave where it takes me.
