Over here, of course, are all the barricade flower pots in DC.

"The embassy in Baghdad is designed to be completely self-sufficient. American diplomats will have their own shopping market, movie theater, gym, and dry cleaners,'' Loeffler reports. "The embassy will be encased by 15-foot-thick blast walls, house a special defense force, and operate its own electrical, sewage, and water treatment plants. There will be no need to interact with Iraqis for anything.
That's nice... screw the rest of Iraq, our people will have electricity, clean water and sewage. Talk about winning hearts and minds....
On a side note, I caught a few minutes of a show on the National Geographic channel last night about security in Iraq... There was a private security company that was escorting a convoy of trucks carrying construction materials to an outlying city of baghdad. Even when they got to their destination in the middle of the night, they had to set up a perimeter with armed guards to unload the trucks. I couldn't even comprehend living in a place like that. I can see the concern with military convoys, but when normal companies have to hire a heavily armed and armored security companies to deliver their products, no wonder the economy and the living conditions there are how they are.My whole life
 was like a picture

If that doesn't say "IRAQI'S STAY OUT!" I don't know what does...short of putting up a sign and actually having the balls to declare it...Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.
