I agree with you that the Imus incident itself was definitely about race. But I'm suggesting the coverage of the incident was about his celebrity. Some mid-day jock in a 3rd tier city would have never received the coverage Imus did.

Also, this is pretty sick. It's one thing to say you feel they should get the death penalty but wanting to see them tortured in the most cruel way and actually watch it on tv, is very very sick.

The crime these people commited is one of the most heinous things I ever heard about. Not only the crime but the fact that it was commited by a group of people is so sick.

Yet I believe no matter how awful someone's crime is, the person who commited it is still someone's father, mother, brother, sister, daughter or son... and you're asking that their family should suffer as much as the families of the victims.

It's a sick society we live in and I don't think crimes like these earn anyone the right to stoop to the criminal's level, it's the lowest point you can be at, it's everything you hate and yet you're advocating it.

They were still murdered and probably not in a nice way, but it seems some of the details were juiced up a bit more than called for...

It does say that even though there may have been embellishments that they were still tortured and then killed. So if they were tortured a little less than reported, I guess I can feel a little better about it. Or not.
