Extremist Right Wingers hate Olberman. They hate truth.

They prefer those who follow and abide by the Extremist Right Wing handbook and script.

    Lie...Lie....Lie...Deny.......blame a Liberal. Yeah, that's the ticket.

I don't like him for the same reason I don't like Fox News...he presents his opinion as fact during a News cast...not a special commentary. It's always there. Professional journalists don't let their opinions get in the way of reporting the news...it's probably the toughest part of their job, but also the most important.

Olberman is a tool just like Hannity, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Coulter, etc... Just because he is a Democrat doesn't make his baised ramblings any more legit.

I am an Obama supporter, and tend to agree with Oberman politically for the most part, but I can't agree with what you said... He is no better than the Fox News anchors that he blasts.

Maybe if Obama's elected, and he starts to call his administration out on crap, then he may redeem himself, but right now he might as well go on the air wearing an "I heart Obama" t-shirt.

    It's funny isn't it?

I always get a huge laugh out of it.

I saw a certain someone in another thread call someone a 'Commie" after another OP of the thread stereotyped all Americans. I can only suspect the "Commie" comment was all in irony and sarcasm.

    Funny nonetheless.

    P.S. I'm not a Left Winger. Neither am I a liberal.

Just wanted make that clear so you guys can choose the correct namecalling:D

Actually, he's very often right on the money with his comments.

Whether he's a tool or not, is up for debate.

But he sure lays the hammer squarely on the nail.......over....and over....and over again.

This viral story should not be bolstered by the Dems, but my God, I don't even want to imagine the freaking out from the Christian Right if the roles in this were reversed. They'd be screaming bloody murder.

My guess.. if this were a Demoocratic Administration in place from 2001 to date... and the same events occurred... and the same responses made... and the same outcome resulted...
Keith Obermann and Bill O'Rielly (and Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter) would all be on the same page... spewing the same thing Obermann is spewing today.

Yeah, but just because they explain birth control to their kids doesn't mean they don't make their kids too uncomfortable to come to them if they need to use it. It's knowing about birth control AND having good access to it that makes the abortion rate go down.

Good access to it? Last time I checked, condoms are pretty readily available everywhere. Oh, and doesn't Alaska allow minors to obtain BC without parental consent? It appears that way-- http://www.contracept.org/minorsaccess.php

Knowledge about contraceptives is just as important as the contraceptives themselves, atleast in my opinion.

    the moral to the story...

abstinence only sex education does not work...

just another reason not to vote for these loon's

You are right about one thing.. abstinence only education doesn't work. Now, can you tell me that this "loon's" daughter didn't receive any education about birth control anywhere? Just because her mother promotes abstinence only doesn't mean she was unware of any other forms or types of birth control. I think at minimum 90% of people in the US that get pregnant know about birth control options these days.

I don't disagree with that but again, everyone is blaming her mother's abstinence only stance on her pregnancy when in reality it could very well have nothing to do with it.

It is pretty hard in today's world to not atleast know that there are condoms and bc out there. But knowing it's there, and knowing how it works, how successful it is, the correct way to use it and which method is the best for you are sadly two different things. I don't know what people think sex education is. Maybe their filthy minds can't convince themselves that you can talk about sex without talking about the best positions and what gets you off. Perverts.

Access is not just about laws but also about the kind of relationship teenagers have with their parents. If parents expect their teenagers to use birth control if/when they have sex, they need to foster an environment where their kids feel comfortable coming to them about these things. My experience is that those parents who preach that abstinence is the only way - even if they do "explain birth control to their kids" - tend to have kids who not only would never dream of coming to their parents when in need of contraception, but who are also less likely to use it at all for fear of their parents finding a condom wrapper, hearing that someone saw them at the clinic, etc. Having to sneak around your parents' backs is just one of the many barriers to service.

For all we know she could've talked to her daughter everyday about sex and waiting and contraceptives but a pro-life, abstinence only advocate's underage, unwed daughter got pregnant. It's an extremely easy target.
