    A lot of the people on that board are really snobby and rude, I dont understand why people are making such a big deal about the rules on this board, while they seemt to be stricter than they were before I've been posting on this board since 2000 (8 years) from the BBS til this one and I have yet to be banned once.

    I've been warned though dont get me wrong, when I've crossed the line.

    I know. I used to visit RM frequently, I don't anymore.
    I'm sad D got burned, he just wants to spread the jam, but
    unfortunately not like this, not on here, its not ok according to the rules :(

    Funny thing to me here is that the people that are upset act like this is a surprise somehow. I like LF and D as much as anyone, but I YOU and THEY knew that they had been walking a fine line for a VERY long time. There are just certain ways to word things around here and that wasnt it. As much as I think it sucks, they will be back, I dont think this is a permanenet thing. I think the mods know they arent bad people.

    That said, the only people who should be mad here are D and LF and they should be mad at themselves for not being carefull is all. I am sure they would agree with me if they are leveled headed in anyway(and I beleive them both to be that). Just have to be creative folks...Dont flaunt! :)

    i just realized that this board doesnt have a "banned list". most boards i visit have one of these and it says whos been banned and for what reason, also the date it will be lifted.

    They'd have to hire another mod just to run/update the banned list; it gets a lot of activity.

    I guess I may have been being over dramatic. Sorry. I guess the news today just came as a big shock. I have not always been such a big follower of the board. This summer, I have started to follow it a lot. I started to feel like I knew some of the people on here and was excited to see what would be on each day. And..I did get a DVD...of one of the shows I have seen. And my friend and I were able to sit down a couple of days ago and relive that night. More than anything, It made us excited about seeing PJ in the future, and their new album, and made us talk about our long following of this band...and it was great. I was thinking how nice it is that the band realizes the importance of sharing their music through any way that is available. I guess I was naive to think that it was as free as I thought it was. I realize that there are rules, and I realize that we signed a agreement when joining the board that said that we would follow them... And I also realize that something that seems to good to be true probably is. Now I know what is ok and what is not on the board...Like I said I was naive and did not know the extent of it. I was living in this PJ utopia..opps.

    also: I do not know about other boards, since this is the only one I have ever posted on, so I guess I have nothing to compare it to.


    If I knew where it was I would take you there. There's much more than this

    Perhaps it is to protect the privacy of those banned. If you got banned for doing something skecthy, would you want it to be public knowledge? It may even qualify as slanderous/libalous if they posted the reasons if they turn out to be false. No need to open anyone to any liability.

    i dont think its really ever been a issue with those site that use it in the past. for example, a simple "see trading rules" for a reason would be fine in this case. i really dont think anyone would go to the extent of legal action over a message board banning lol, but i could and have been wrong about many things :)

    yea but if you posted something on a public forum don't you pretty much waive privacy?

    But what if someone got banned for being accussed of a racist rant, or something else that could damage their reputation? Even if the mods posted a vague reason for a banning, people would start discussions that could show the banned person in a bad light.
