Maybe this poor fella should legislate a 3 day work week for everyone in the country if he feels so slighted by actually having to work a five day week. This guy is typical of the elite running this nation.
"Keeping us up here eats away at families," said Rep. Jack Kingston (R-Ga.), who typically flies home on Thursdays and returns to Washington on Tuesdays. "Marriages suffer. The Democrats could care less about families -- that's what this says."

and what about everyone else??? what about school? school is harmful by separating children from their families and pretty much isolating them by placing them in a confined space w/ kids their own age who they aren't even allowed to talk to most of the time...
what a prickstandin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
 eager to identify with
 someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way0

What about the family of a single mom who has to work two jobs because minimum wage just isn't cutting it? Who cares about those families? If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.

Not only that, what about those whose both parents work, and sometimes they have to work 2 or 3 jobs.
This is the sorriest thing i've read in a while... Talk about being disconnected from reality.0

Hahaha ... I love it ... whining from the party that's opposed every piece of worker's rights legislation to come before congress. Opposed to the FMLA, opposed to mandatory sick leave, opposed to wage hikes .... all in favor of earning $165K per year themselves while working less than any congress in history.
I can't imagine where they get the reputation for being greedy "Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity." ~ MLK, 19630

I read this in the newspaper this morning. It is priceless that these assholes are whining about putting in an honest week of work. Well, honest may be a stretch for D.C."I'll use the magic word - let's just shut the fuck up, please." EV, 04/13/080

BTW, who pays for all those plane tickets? That's 52 flights per year! At $300 per ticket (coach rate... yeah right!), that's at least $15,000 a year!
 Are WE paying for that?0

It's not like anyone is making him keep his "job", perhaps the whiney bitch should quit and find a job where he gets nearly everything done for him...it should be easy...0

Hey Jack-ass, then quit. The country will probably be better off with your lazy, whiny ass back in Georgia. What a fucktard!flywallyfly wrote:"Keeping us up here eats away at families," said Rep. wow... It is actually amazing that they can complain about working less than four and a half days out of the weeks that they are in session.

It comes out of a budget that the office gets at the beginning of the year regardless of what they decide to spend it on.0

i hope the media takes this and runs with it. let the conservative voters the republicans have duped see how truly out of touch with reality they are. let them see republicans are not the party of old-fashioned hard work and values they claim to be. which party is always claiming about entitlement and getting something for nothing?0

spin, spin, spin. it was one republican that said that, not every single one.
personally, i think it's a great idea and the fucker that was whining about it should step down and take a job closer to home if he's that concerned."PC Load Letter?! What the fuck does that mean?"

The way I see it... they fucked up the country real good, working less than 5ive Days A Week... maybe we should suggest that they cut their hours to 4 hours a week... you know... in order to save the country.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! "Marriages suffer. The Democrats could care less about families -- that's what this says."
This statement is retarded. That's just making yourself look like an ass.
However, the statement that follows it (Time away from Washington is just as important to being an effective member of Congress as time spent in the Capitol, Kingston added. "When I'm here, people call me Mr. Congressman. When I'm home, people call me 'Jack, you stupid SOB, why did you vote that way?' It keeps me grounded.") is, I think, very plausible. The Congress is elected to serve their constituents back home right? Everyone assumes that work is ONLY done is DC, that's crap. If I were a Congressperson I'd want to spend as much time at home as possible so I stay true to my constituents and have an opportunity to work at home finding out what it is they want out of me. I don't see how DC=Work is the only possibility.
Now, I'm not saying they should have 6 days off for Memorial Day etc, but I don't for a second believe that they only work when they're in DC. Don't they have offices in their district?0
