I figured out night shots, what do you think?

hi all,I'm going to be a regular in this section from now on. I spend alot of my time in the other forums. I am really into photography and am close to getting my website up. what are the rules for posting pictures? do they have to be links? and post them like this? your input is greatly appreciated

    what settings did you use?

    I'm still trying to figure out night shots...and indoor concert shots (ie: if you can't use a flash...what settings do you use?)...any tips? Anyone?

    I tried again with different settings. ISO 400 f/9.

    also gave a open shutter a try.

    yes, its nearly impossible to get these type of shots without. shutter was open 4 seconds. setting were ISO 400 aperture f/9 with Nikon D100

    nice work... I have been doing a lot of this type of work, if you need any pointers, let me know. Also, I have lots of ideas for you incase you ever get bored.

    Oh, I forgot to mention, this is the type of work I have been doing.... Star Trails and the like. I have only been testing it around here(to much light pollution). I am heading out to the desert in June to really get it done. Anyway, this guys site has a lot of info. Check it out.

    I can always use some pointers. Love your work.

    how do you keep the time release for so long?

    I have a nikon d100. max 30 second release time.

    Nikon MC-30 Remote Cord - $54.95 (back ordered)


    Look around you maybe able to find this on ebay or another store somewhere... With a remote you can leave your shutter open for hours(depending on battery life). You can really experiment with night exposures. Anymore questions let me know, I am a Canon user so I don't know much about Nikons but I will help you out as much as I can.
