Haiku project

Anyone want to do a haiku project? I'm not sure what. Any ideas? I guess just a thread for haiku is a start. Any other ideas?

    I know about something which may very well interest you a great deal. My english literature teacher is very interested in finding ways to ascertain why we like certain words in certain combinations. he has some knowledge of computer programming and has devised some software that can produce over a billion random similes. you can freeze words in the chain and swap others until you find something that speaks to you, for whatever reason. apparently the point is not to find a simile that you like but to find WHY you like it.

    anywhere, where I'm heading with this is, he is in the process of making a second program which will randomly generate haikus. obviously, composing haikus yourself is what you like doing and allowing a computer to do it for you seems pretty pointless. having said that, you might like to mess about with it just to see what it can come up with. like I say, it isn't about which ones you like but why you like them. I guess it might help you with new ideas :) so if you are interested, when he finishes the program I'll see if I can get it hosted somewhere so you can try it out.
