do the memories of the forrest still live in you
and our bench, shadows, moonlight
which played on our trembeling lips

does the passion of our whispers still live in you
which stayed in the branches
of the chest-nut tree

    our images are different in the mirror
    but the soul stayed the same
    love stays

    don't ask from me to hang on
    to the ends of the past
    and the silence of the present

    don't ask from me to keep on believing
    in the paper dragon
    he no longer flyes

    don't ask from me to save the dew from the sun
    it's late and you're far away from me
    all that is left is the sand powder
    that slips through the fingers...
