Over and over again until one morning you don't wake up.
Probably there's more meaning, but that's the bare bones of it.
Sometimes that's all it feels like, and maybe that's all it is. Who knows. Well that's all my baby knows and she seems pretty happy with it.0 -
Just for the record, I'm not an American, but I know most people here are, so I kind of projected their image onto me.

Lucy: Why do you think we're put here on earth, Charlie Brown?
Charlie Brown: To make others happy.
Lucy: I don't think I'M making anyone happy...
Of course, nobody's making me happy either...

we are a field
we are a-glow
we are a spark - that turns to thought
we touch with flesh
we touch with breath
a wave sent out, an energy prone
we're here to learn
we're here to share
enhance this world
we love, we hate
we bend and break
we spread our wings
we yield and die
yet still go on
for all our energy
and family and friends
we are all one - yet so alonewe're all sentient snowflakes

oh yeah, sorry, I would have noticed that if I took the time to look. Just read the jelly and peanut butter bit and assumed. Never heard of anyone but americans liking that combination or calling jam jelly.
Hmm, that's not exactly what I meant, I don't want to die before I get old, I'm fine with getting old and past my prime. I don't know, it's the thought of FOREVER that scares me. That is one concept that I am still yet to comprehend.0 -

life is you. (all life forms)
life is me. (all life forms)
life is alive. (to share)
life is dieing. (to move on)
life is yours. (for others)

life is not a clock on your kitchen wall. (remove it)
life is not an alarm-clock on your night-stand at 4am. (remove it)
life is not 24 hrs, repeated. (burn your calendars)
life is beautiful like endless fields of wild-flowers a woman lays in for the sun.
life is ugly from hate, murder, and rape.
life is full of joy and pain.
life is empty. (black-hole void)
life is hungry for answers. (internal library)
life is starving and sick.
life grows above and below.
life shrinks.
life is the stormy skies filled with lightening and thunder. (let is pour out)
life is deep blue skies fulla birds and tree-tops.
life is the driest desert in your eyes.
life is only the smallest ocean. (our personal fluids)
life touches beyond stars. (our dreams)
life is only that.
life is more than that.
life produces life.
life has no way of ever ending.
but i must end this now, it would be never-ending if i didn't.

Thank you chadwick. It's nice to be reminded that life is not 24 hrs repeated. People could give themselves a lot more freedom when they realise that and think of everyday as something new rather then the same thing over and over again. Nice work0

So I'm not the only one that can't comprehend it? That's good to know. But it actually makes me sick in the gut to even try to imagine it.
yes, I agree. some great poems. That's just what I was hoping for when I started this thread. Keep 'em coming everyone. Love it0 -

I like this poem. It sounds negative in a way, but when I read it again it actually sounds just like honesty, reality, what life really is. Did you mean it to be negative?0 -
