Help me write a song!!

Im in a band and we have a few songs writen but no lyrics.
Anyone want to help me write the lyrics?? If you guys and girls help write us lyrics perhapse we can record it and put it on the net so you can all hear us play the song and sing your lyrics.

You are free to write about anything you want, I was thinking bout writing a song about the movie Waynes World haha (I love that movie!! Pearl Jam gets a mention in Waynes World 2!!)

    It's got to have to to with Wayne's World .... hmmmmmm
    Been a while since I saw it, but I remember it having a lot of "Wanyne's World: Party Time !!!!!" in it

    Have you got a real theme, or vibe it should have, or is it full creative freedom ? :p

    Here she is, on the beach again
    There she stands, absorbed in thought
    Apart from breathing, motionless
    There she stands, absorbed in thought
    Silently, screaming without sound
    Sorrow-Stricken tears are shed
    To be collected by the sea

    *** Piece I'm still trying to figure out

    So still she stands, by waterfront
    Desperate so you might deem
    Mendaciously mending her broken heart
    Deceitful, so you might believe
    In need of guidance, lost in thought
    Help her stp her tears from falling

    ***might add something here

    She knows no fear, but she's afraid
    of never knowing true love's face
    So there she stands, abosrbed in thought
    Then he comes down to sort things out




    I knooow it's not about Wayne's World, but if you can find a melody for it, it may work out ...

    What type of music, blues, pop, jazz, rock. My words, and how long the lines are may vary depending on the type of music. (Ready Fins? :))

    No no no no no no no! We do not ass whoop. In fact I hope dan_vedder doesn't get annoyed if we show the true silly sides of what song writing can be like. I'm not a lyricist, so don't worry. :) Group effort is good. I wasn't sure if you would be willing to let others poke around with your lyrics, Jamal. Otherwise, I'll just let it be.

    This may not be the best way to phrase the question, but how many beats per line? How many lines per stanza? Do you want a chorus? And for clarification, you want it about Wayne's World? Would that lead to copyright issues?

    On the beach she stands/breath/

    the pull of the sea through her hands/
    to touch her hair, to trace her tears.

    But would you know a wizard's touch/
    that pulls like the sea through her hands/
    and displaces her sorrow into glass a prism/
    within 10 times her sorrow flows/

    Would he break the glass to find her face/
    and march with sand into the waves/
    To leave her feeling love's first grace/
    but leaving alone to find it's trace/

    I took some parts from everybody elses and added some other things, Im not done with it yet but I'll work on it more later.

    Silently screaming, without sound
    She calls out his name
    But he's nowhere to be found

    So still she stands by the waterfront

    Lost in her thoughts
    Only in her sleep she dreams

    Waves hit the shore as her feet sit in the sand

    Like stars shooting across the land

    I already like what it has become ...

    I would be real sweet if we come to something that has a little bit of all of us, but still confined into one "Whole". Just seems so unreal that people who have never met before, and are so far apart, living their own lives are on the same wavelength....
    Think that's sooo cool :D

    Great effort guys, I like that first one alot. :D All tell all the boys at our next jamming session that these lyrics were done by my very fine Pearl Jam friends. If anyone else wants to write anymore feel free, we got acouple of songs with no lyrics!! Im sorry I can't post the music, we have only recorded one track and its on my friends laptop. Ill try to get it off him. Well if Anthrax have writen song a about Judge Dread and Megdeth have writen a song about Monty Python The Holy Grail then i don't see why I can't write about Waynes World :D We got acouple of fast ones and 2 slow ones so you can write for either.

    Thing is, that it's pretty hard to write words to fit into a melody you've never heard ... ;)

    If you post it, I(/we?) would gladly have a go at it though.
