Since when do you write like this? The posts I've read of yours have a completely different tone and purpose. Is your Friday feeling like Monday? (Not to be stupid, but it's the only thing I could think of besides a bad breakup or something.)There is no such thing as leftover pizza. There is now pizza and later pizza. - anonymous

Yes! NO! I don't know, good point. For instance, I can always tell your poems just by the title, Fins. I don't think people need to stay in a rut, but when they travel outside the box usually it's for a good reason. I guess I asked, just the wrong way, if something influenced the writing so that it was so different.FinsburyParkCarrots wrote:Is Mr Fake less real than Mr Real is fake? There is no such thing as leftover pizza. I was just musing on the topic of the original poem in a general sort of way. Thinking of Mr Reals, Mr Fakes, Mr Browns and Blondes, and Dylan's Mr Jones.

So, that's British, right? Or, have you read "The Phantom Tollbooth?" I read it in 5th grade. In one section the main character meets the skinniest fat person, the fattest skinniest person, the tallest short person, and the shortest tall person. It was so creative it's the part of the book I remember 27 years later. I also remember, "The Pushcart Wars" which is a story of Ny pushcart owners getting fed up with trucks that parked in front of their carts. They started to spit nails into the truck tires.FinsburyParkCarrots wrote:I was just musing on the topic of the original poem in a general sort of way. That's the Mr Men you're thinking of.

I was thinking of a couple of baddies from Reservoir Dogs and a character in a Bob Dylan song.
