Right by your Side

It's o.k. to be scared but
know I am near,
I want to take away all your
pain and fear.
I want to hold you in my arms
and hug you so tight,
I want to love out all of that
fright!
I want to keep you safe from all
of the bad,
I don't ever want to see those
tears, or that little face so sad!
So come to me and you will see,
how effective my solution can be.
It's o.k., everything is all right,
you let it all out and sleep for the night.
And when you wake up in the morning,
the morning after you cried,
Know I will still be there,
right by your side.

    about your girls? :)

    reminds me of something I wrote for my baby niece a few years ago, kind of a lullaby that I never sang. hope you don't mind if I post it here...

    I'll swing the cradle low
    so when that wind does blow
    you won't have far to fall

    Everytime you cry

    That was really pretty pacifier. Of course I don't mind that you post.
    Actually, this one was not written about my girls exactly. It was written years ago, my early years of high school. I was imagining what I would say to my child if I ever had one.

    :) that's sweet. Do you think you got it right now that you know the real deal? or is it not quite like you where expecting when you wrote this?

    I would have to say the emotion is stronger now that they are here. I got the basic idea right though. You have more the mentality that you would die for them in the drop of hat if need be. It's intense. When the twins were born, they were healthy and transfered to a step down facility (they each only weighed 3 lbs. 5 oz.-2 1/2 months early). While at the step down facility one of the nurses said Julia turned blue and couldn't breathe while feeding her. She had to be taken to a hospital in Washington DC. I remember watching her in the incubator there and praying the whole time for her to be ok. I kept thinking "take me instead, she's too little. She needs to live her life".
