Question about Mansfield 03
This may have been posted 1 million times and may be a stupid question but.....when they played the Mansfield 03 show and had the acoustic set prior to the opener how did they inform ticket holders to get to the venue early?

I was living in Orlando at the time and if I remember correctly, I saw something on here about a rumor of a pre-set. When I arrived in Boston, I also heard something on the radio.5882300 wrote:This may have been posted 1 million times and may be a stupid question but.....when they played the Mansfield 03 show and had the acoustic set prior to the opener how did they inform ticket holders to get to the venue early?0 -
What % of the ticket holders do think made it?0

It was billed as "An Evening With Pearl Jam", i believe.
No Opening Act = GET THERE AT DOORS OPEN, OR YOU'RE A FOOL.
edit: err. Wait. I jumped the gun.
Think i'm wrong.
There was an opening band.
Wasn't there?
Aw, Fuck.
I'll just go back to A Moving Train now.
I've been DISCGRACED.
THROW A TARP OVER MY FACE!
NO NO!
THE TARPS THE TARPS!If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?0 -
The third show was on Friday, 7-11-03. On Monday of that week, there was all kinds of rumors on local radio on what they would do to finish all their songs. That Monday afternoon, there was a news blurb right on this homepage that announced they would be playing a 'slower' set to begin the evening to give everyone a heads up. The traffic getting down there was horrible...I sprinted in about halfway through 'Long Road'.
Night 2 was still the best though."We won't be playing an acoustic version of 'Blood' or anything..."0 -

I got to the Tweeter Center at 7am to wait in line to get tickets that morning. Everyone was talking about it in line. I didnt even know before that. It was worth waiting for 3 hours in line for.0
