we have driven this road in cold winter. breathing thick fog we replicate survivors of the days of survival. watch your wrist. we'll walk on this frozen pond and of course, smile for the pictures. the ancient dirt is here today to remind us that dying leaves do not die in vain and weathervanes do nothing to help or impede the flowing of the breezes carrying each distinct audible chime from each church. god speaks in different voices. any language we want because we create him and crayon him into our lives in such vivid color that it's too painful to see the truth and wake up giftless on christmas.

great poem. love the stop and go flow. I'd add "of course" in the last line after any language we want because everything there is presented as past-tensed fact, not action.....just a thought....but great little bit here"be a philosopher but, amid all your philosophy, be first a man" - david hume
