    People are getting overly emotional I think, but I will agree that based on what I've seen so far from you, no matter how many years you've spend cloistered away writing, the poetic community probably won't even give you enough of a look to bother laughing. That may sound harsh, but I would advise you to be careful in thinking that because something comes truthfully from the darkness of an unclouded mind that it is going to be accepted, or even poetic, it takes practice, craft and experience to be able to write a good poetry, and that experience comes from exclusively from reading poetry, the same goes for literature, even the most gifted writing or poetic geniuses were well versed in poetry before they set out on their own. Most famous recluses become reclusive in the wake of their fame not before.

    I commend your argument, yet it makes too many comparisons for my liking. I prefer to look at everything individually, and not lose focus :)

    I'll admit that I'm not one to judge....especially when it comes to poetry. None of you have to read "the poets" poetry or even like it for that matter....but just keep in mind that these might be his/ her personal feelings that you are judging...and for me that is something that I do not take very lightly.

    a peom for The Poet

    Vasco de Gama had a banana....
    and didn't know what to do....
    he thought he might feel it
    before he would peel it
    but he had so much to do
    he didn't have time
    because he was sailing
    the albatross said 'boo'....
    they wrecked their frigate
    and said 'well fuk it'....
    and Vasco was plastered
    and called Doom a bastard....
    so Doom smoked a cigar
    Vasco attacked Doom with the banana
    and they all lived happily ever after
    ....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......
