he talked of the time his body was young and spry
playing with their children and embracing life
not of the now his body starting to die
looking back on their past together
both of them smiling as they knew it was forever
their first glance at each other and they were done
soulmates in love to be united as one
no tears to be shed, the time was not right
one last kiss for tonight is the night
holding her hand as he begain to slip away
never forget me he whispered, not now or in may
her hand placed upon his chest as the heartbeats came to a close
wishing with all her might that this was just another doze
she prayed and she prayed for another night of marriage
day dreaming of their first date in the horse buggy carriage
their time was over and so is this story

I feel like a tool, but I can't help but make a suggestion to rework the "not in May" part. It just seems like it's forced in there to fit the rhyme scheme. Just my attempt at constructive criticism.
That's why I gave up on rhyme scheme. Forces me into saying things I don't really mean to say.
