And on that day
No-one thought
No-one cared
They got in their cars
And drove to work
Drove away
Ordinary day
And they smiled
And they laughed
Snapshot photograph
Of normality
It seemed to be
No-one knew
Had not a clue
Ordinary Day
And they went home
Same as before
To families
To dinner, TV
Work tomorrow
Early to bed
Expecting tomorrow
To be just another
Ordinary day
it's a bit too simplistic in its rhyme and quick rhythm, anyone got any ideas on this one...?

thinking in visuals not music really, looks like an excellent montaqe for setting up a mood in film.
it is the TRUTH of us prior to 9.11
Sadly, it is back to the sameold same old shit since then as well.0 -
I think it's a bit too simplistic in its rhyme and quick rhythm

Very true piece, though. And haunting.0 -
i didn't see it as visual, but thinking of it it'd work..
something like a typical surburbia family... office workers? maybe both parents, two kids, smiles when they come home etc etc etc
and then flashes of the news on the day, no sound but just a flash, maybe on when the camera focuses on the parents...or for 'ordinary day'
and at the end the kids waving the parents goodbye
then a shot of the towers
hmmm.
this one's got me thinking now.
(:p @ O'Reilly)hey, what the hell happened here?0 -
