Waiting
Watching the years slip by
How has it really been this long?
Why didn't time stop on that day?

Holding onto the essence
Holding onto a smile
Every second
is one more of denial

Your face is the light
That my darkness needs
and it seems as though every rain drop
my suffering feeds

Reaching out
to an untouchable force
Pondering the reasons
for this obstacle course

Erase this
abolish this pain
Take the harsh reality
and throw it away

Why can't we just go back
To a time where everything was?
forced to lead an existence
hollow
because
you are the missing piece
to this puzzle of life
the absence of you
creates a whirlwind of confusion, strife

Lost in this hurricance
this tornado of grief
I dedicate each breath to you
some day... I too,
will be released

Everyone has lost that special someone, just thinking of it now, tomorrow will be the 13 year anniversary of my grandma's death. one of my grandma's who raised me when I was little. So reading that, made me think about my grandmas. Both very special in my heart and thank u for posting this sweetie.

The pain is very evident. That's what it feels like...the emotions...like a natural disaster....only it shouldn't be so natural.
