--->and your rainy footsteps
i felt you
on my porch
knowing i was just inside
snug under the fringe
you
wet and nervous
but somehow calm
closer closer
though you know me
completely
wanting to drench me
inside and out
--->and your rainy footsteps
sound softer
than night breath
i forget how tender
your thoughts are
keep them safe
it is all for you
only you
to imagine and dream
like a halo
suspended
while i snuffle
against your neck
--->and your rainy footsteps
awaken me
make my arms ache
for your warmth
and heartbeating
i know your mouth
your scent clean
i could question
what for why
but i already know
the answers
do it
make me proud

i love you
like no other
