Love sick

and just trying to let it be.....

    sometimes the feelings are not so pleasant themselves
    but for some reason, i think it beats feeling nothing

    What's wrong?
    It was a dream, not a nightmare. A beautiful dream I could never imagined in a thousand nods. I saw this girl next to me, she wasn't beautiful until she smiled. And I felt that smile come at me in heat waves following. Soaking through my body and out my finger tips in shafts of color. And I knew somewhere in the world, somewhere, that there was love for me.

    the last thing i ever want
    is to know my love
    has been misdirected
    or wrapped in a maze
    that has no in/out
    because i am so sure
    as the ground upon
    which i stand
    that the love that is,
    is all meant for me
    maybe it's not from a man
    or from my muse
    or even from my best friend
    but it's all mine
    to do with what i choose
    and where it lives
    within my own heart
    is where it belongs
    because if i don't love me
    then i can't love you
    no matter how hard i try
    if i'm not my biggest fan
    if i don't admire myself
    or cherish all i am
    no one else possibly could
    if i don't want to caress me
    if i'm not pampering my body
    or filling myself with good
    no one else shall
    and i'm lovesick all the time
    my eyes drowse
    when i think of love
    and my skin ripples
    with the excitement of someday
    when at last i know
    the one who can love me
    as much as i love myself
    i am worthy of all my best
    not with ego's passion
    but with self-love's generosity
    of spirit and soul
    and i'm lovesick all the time
    to the point i need to say it
    alongside you
    or just behind your left shoulder
    touching your elbow
    to remind you of it
    it will never be resolved
    as long as yearning dominates
    the desire to love another
    but just to let it simply be
    takes magical strength
    and dedication to overcome
    the weakness of ache

    and i'm lovesick all the time
    but i'm selfish
    because it's for me
    until i'm politely asked
    if i could kindly share
    myself
