joni mitchell said that not i

silly girl,,,,,,,,"love makes a fool of me"

For any man, wanting to know more about sometypes of women........women both weakandstrong,

"For The Roses" by Joni Mitchell

ive been listening to the same album over and over and over again. i am compelled to find out.

My mother bought this when it came out. I was 9. I looked at the album cover often at home. Staring at joni. mezmerized by the whole scene.

i remember falling in love with her.

she wore green.
even her boots were green like me.
she sits on a ledge near water
by some trees.

the feeling of feeling that when i was a child
is not the same now,
as feeling of feeling of that as an adult
isnot the same
makes me cry

and as i listen
i realize my mother must
have bought the album but not played it much like she did cat stevens tea for the tillerman

i hardly know the songs except for the RADIO

although now 40,
a womanofboth
the last three cut DEEPLY
into my soul

and god i don't know why? as if it were written for the nine year old that pined for davidcassidyorsomeone else at the time.

it's all happening again.
but this time, the album is mine
or should i say CD.
that sucks.
anybody got the album for sale?

    Take all the trees
Put 'em in a tree museum
    Charge all the people
A dollar & a half just to see 'em

    All in all
    It seems to go
    That you don't know
    What you got
    'Til it's gone

Paved paradise & put up a parking lot

... IS FULL! Good feeling! I just wanted to say that I enjoy your poems although I don't always comment-I don't want to spoil them with my nonsense! I like your abstract posts! I don't like how you seem so sad a lot though--I know it makes for good inspiration but I hope you're not toooo sad! I really liked your pics! Especially your boy with the flutterbys---those butterfly conservatories & such are reallly cool places--butterflies are so beautiful! So, that said, take care & try not to despair. We are not all the same but that's what makes us unique & beautiful!

    Take care!

You said my stuff seens sad. Some of it is.
    Actually most of it isn't.
It is very tongue and cheek
It just comes off sad whenyou read maybe.

Cleaning out the attic I do tend to find alot of stuff in my
    HOPELESS CHEST

    get it!
Hope Chest is that you grandparents give you when you graduate from high school so you can put all your hopes in there and then later get to use it for all those that came true in a sur real and TWISTED MANNER.

maybe i should just smile more.

Don't you think you oughta rest?
Don't you think you oughta lay your head down?
Don't you think you want to sleep?
Don't you think you oughta lay your head down tonight?

Don't you think you've done enough?
Oh, don't you think you've got enough, well maybe...
You don't think there's time to stop?
There's time enough for you to lay your head down, tonight, tonight

    Let it wash away
    All those yesterdays

    What are you running from?
    Taking pills to get along
Creating walls to call your own
So no one catches you drifting off and
Doing all the things that we all do

    Let them wash away
    All those yesterdays
    All those yesterdays
    All those paper plates

You've got time, you've got time to escape
There's still time, it's no crime to escape
It's no crime to escape, it's no crime to escape
    There's still time, so escape
    It's no crime, crime...

    All those yesterdays

You don't have to smile all the time! But it is nice to see!

    Have a great weekend!

I saw the smile as you opened the attic door and knew there was more to you than sad and confusing. An extra smile doesn't hurt the conversations.

No I'm not a shrink, but thanks for making me think.

    Did you find God Bhavgadvita?
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.
