    a woman's handkerchief
    stuck in the thorns
    rose petals blowing away

    they are roses without thorns
    no protection
    letting men take advantage
  • Weather clouds roaming
Over the fields we once knew
    the flight of pillows

    wind scream-ing si-rens
    in-di-go
    sha-ded dream-scape birth
    I'll dig a tunnel
    from my window to yours

Ohmygod I'm a new person! I went from being Bibliobella to Haiku Sunrise because I really want to focus on Haiku and just absorb it into my being. Kindof snazzy, eh? I don't know if the sunrise part fits so well, but we'll see.

  • well usually the last line of a haiku has little to do with the haiku itself, so its very fitting, and it goes well together.

I've changed again, yeah me. Ms. Haiku here, not as rosey as Haiku Sunshine, but almost as saucey as Bibliobella.

FYI, I asked the mods to lock this thread on December 6th so we can start "Year 2" on a different thread. They didn't confirm they will do it, but we'll see.

I always look forward to the New Year, whether it's Jan 1 or the new school year or anything new year-ish. This is exciting! Think of the potential. I plan to reread my haiku books to get back on track. This will be great, Fins! What are you crying for?

You keep all of your old tests/exams/papers, don't you? ;)
