He offered love

He offered me love and
I gladly accepted it
and paid for it with my heart
over and over again
and yet it doesn't seem to be enough
ever, ever, ever
what more he wants, I don't know
he never says
he never comes clean at all
he cries it's never enough
he spits and hurts
but he never says what he wants
never tells me when I ask
cries and complains
it's not enough!!!
I pay for his love
over and over
and I don't complain or argue
at the unfairness of it all
but it's not enough for him
I give more than my heart
but it's never enough
he won't come out
and be with me
all I want
he refuses to do
and somedays he tells me "Goodbye, you disappointment"
and what am I to say?
you were never really here
with me
and the worst part is
he knows I'm gonna be payin' for this
with my tears from now on
even if I don't show it
