    the doors- spanish caravan

    i read reviews about this new remastered 2-disc 'best of' being awful, but i didnt think it would be that bad. i was wrong. they butchered some of these songs.
    and like that... he's gone.

    i dont like the doors enough to buy each of the albums. the best of is fine for me. i'll stick with the one ive got (legacy). this one's going to the used shop.

    i just bought the newly remastered and updated "very best of the doors" because the tracklisting is a bit better:

    but the review is spot on. some of the remastering is annoying as hell. i'm also slightly annoyed by the fact that it seems impossible to get 'break on through' anymore without the added/overdubbed "she gets high" vocals. ditto for the end.

    right now im listening to riders on the storm.
    and like that... he's gone.
