There's a band I've kind of missed. What's one of the best albums to check out?

In my opinion, if you want the quintessential Misfits sound, check out Walk Among Us. This album is full of good hooks to the choruses, and they had fully embraced the horror punk theme by this album. Static Age is also very good although the horror theme was not prominent at this point( Static Age was recorded before Walk Among Us). Earth A.D. is very aggressive and the choruses are pretty much gone by this point, but still a great album. Then there is the CD "Misfits" which has a lot of their singles, and "Misfits II" which has the singles and songs Danzig liked. In all honesty, I would pick up anyone one of these, or a few. You can listen to all of these without feeling overwhelmed because the songs barely reach the 2 minute mark.

Great band but not the best punk band ever.

no, not the best...The Clash easily come to mind if I had to choose....Black Flag(Gregg Ginn is a good friend of mine) The Ramones, Dead Kennedys,Minor Threat and Bad Brains all come to mind after that.

  • Lil' Wayne has a punk rock band. He sings and plays guitar. Apparently it's pretty legit.. I dunno.

Who's singing this? Is it Danzig? As in Glen Danzig? I love his voice so much. It's surprisingly sexy!

That's interesting. I remember reading that he was greatly influenced by jazz and was a huge Grateful Dead fan which I thought was kind of strange. All in all one of my favorite guitar players.

Best punk band ever. Any other fans here?

I agree with you.....best punk band ever....tied with the Ramones anyways! But then again, I'm not a fan of punk in general! I just like a select few bands from the genre!
