They pretty much all hated each other for a variety of reasons. I don't see it happening, but I'd go in a heartbeat.

Yeah, I seem to remember it being really rather fraught. Still, sometimes the best bands are built on that kind of tension.
    Let's pray they've sorted their differences....or that they're flat broke :D
    I came, I saw, I concurred.....

LOL. Heck, if I had the cash, I'd give them 3. :)

Kerrang! understands that a number of U.K. venues have been placed on hold for shows from the band next spring, while U.K. festival appearances are rumored to follow in the summer. Founding bassist Bill Gould played down the speculation, telling Kerrang! “If anything like this were to happen, it would have to come from the band, and I haven’t spoken with any of them in over a year. So as far as I know, there isn’t anything to talk about, and I’m pretty sure that if you were to contact [Mike] Patton [vocals], he would tell you the same thing.”

Despite several years of vigorously denying claims the band would reform, Mike Patton seems to have softened in recent months. In an interview with the Artisan News Service in January, he said “I wouldn’t rule it out. I don’t think we need to reform the band, but maybe there’s other things we could do together.”
Thanks for the rumour!! I just got chub...

The Gentle Art of Making Enemies came on my ipod during a shuffle when I was driving today. I turned that fucker up and the windows down!! I'm taking it as a sign.
Whoa, chill bro... you know you can't raise your voice like that when the lion's here.

Great Fucking song!!!! Top 5 FNM songs easily...
  • i'm sure Big Jim won't be involved, and who knows if another core member of the band will be replaced by someone Patton gets along with better now.
I am probably making a big deal out of something that isn't going to happen anyway. It's been to long, things have changed, sadly, it's better to keep moving on.

If we don't get a FNM reunion, i think i would be willing to settle for a 2nd Peeping Tom album.

Seeing as how he wasn't even in the band for the last two albums, it would be surprising if he would be a part of a reunion.

I doubt they'd ever actively reform...if anything, they'll do what Rage did...a few shows to make some good money for a while. But I don't see Patton going against everything he prides himself on, which is always doing something new and different. If they actually made another album, you can be fairly certain that it won't sound like any previous FNM releases...it'd be like anything Patton releases...unexpected, and you'll either love it or hate it.
I thought the first Tomahawk album is a good indication of where FNM would have gone if they stayed together and Patton had increased control. (does that make sense?)

it makes sense, I was a big fan of both Tomahawk albums. Patton is very close to the top of Front men ever!

King for a Day, Fool For a Lifetime ... better than The Real Thing if you ask me.

Note, both are fantastic ... I just find myself listening to KFADFFAL more.

I'll take it a step further and say that Angel Dust, King For A Day, and Album of the year were all better than The Real Thing. Don't get me wrong I like TRT but they got so much more diverse later on and let Patton really cut loose.
  • I was never a huge fan...but come on people, you know every year some sort of reunion tour must happen....it seems like a law of the universe.

Please. Please. For the love of all that is holy, please.
  • I used to be a huge Faith No More fan back in the days, but I don't see the excitement everyone else is seeing. It's not like a Soundgarden or a Led Zeppelin reunion, we're talking about Faith No More.
