elvis has to be one of the most overrated musicians ever... i like "suspicious minds" and "fools rush in"... can tolerate alot of his later work... but to give him credit as a HUGE innovator in rock n roll... dunno bout that... i think it was black blues musicians that really got the ball rolling and did most of the grunt work... and theyll probably never get the credit since they had to do it underground due to racism and what not... chuck berry is probably the first black musician i can think of that was credited for changing the face of rock... and he definitely did more for it than elvis... so fuck elvis... and anyone lame enough to impersonate him

not really big on buddy holly either... but hes better than elvis IMO

He's in the rock n roll, gospel and country hall of fames. I only care for one of those three genres but you have to respect the diversity in his music.

If you have seen "Elvis Lives" on PBS, you know that Elvis performed his ass off at shows. I was only 5 years old when he died, but I do remember that day and singing "(Hunk of) Burning Love" with my neighbor. On a 45. :)

    Take care,
I still want you all to "take care"--I am just damn tired of typing it.

    much better musician
produced most of his own work...
and wrote most of his own material
if if hadn't died so young he would have far surpassed elvis as the king
Im a million miles away from home and I cant find a telephone...
