Anyone remember these guys? I thought "Welcome To The North" was a pretty decent album. I thought they vanished, but apparently they are about to release a new album.

Ugh. How did they come up with that name, do you know? I can't imagine the mentality of people who are sitting around and think "hey here's a good name: The Music!"
 it's disgusting.
But who knows. i don't know how they got the name. "The Band" is an equally disgusting name but they didn't really name themselves, it was just sort of stuck on them.
Sorry, this isn't the point of the thread. I'm just venting. saw things so much clearer0 saw things so much clearer0

Yeah, it must be hard to google their name or search for them on youtube. Same with The Muslims, who are an awesome band.comfortably numb wrote:Ugh. How did they come up with that name, do you know? I didn't know they were still on the go. I saw them at a festival when the first album came out and they were very good. But I never heard anything of them after that. What's the best album?I'll Ride The Wave Where It Takes Me0

bumpThey've been updating their facebook page with possible hints of a return.Great band. Welcome to the North got me into them with the song Breakin'. And i think i they opened up for The Vines in '02 in philly cause i got a demo cd from them around that time. Last album, Strength in Numbers was pretty solid. Well hopefully they do, it's been about 12 years.8/28/98- Camden, NJ
