no many musicians in general music has done what dave did, formed a really good band after being part of a succesful band.... how many drummers has become as a good singer with a great band? ....

Well, there is Phil Collins, but I never really liked Genesis. I agree though, most people would have disappeared, or had a dud atempt.
I was disappointed in "In Your Honor", no new ideas after One by One, which was great, too many simple octave riffs.
    Music is not a competetion.
  • i think there are a few here that need to pick up the Skin and Bones CD

    or DVD

    or both!!! :)

you'll be blown away, it's beautiful music.
"I'll do whatever the song dictates - if it doesn't need a real lead, then I won't do one. But if it does, then I'll fuckin' go off." - Mike

"Japan is awesome; the fans there knew all the words to all the songs...at least phonetically." - Stone

"I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version." - EV
  • Do the Foo cover any Nirvana songs during their shows? That would be interesting.

But Foo fighters was only good on their first record, when grohl wrote it all.

yeah, their first album rocks, the rest isn't good, but he can sing. Anyone noticed the change in grohl's voice since nirvana? He sounded like a little kid a now all of a sudden he's screaming his loungs out, wtf?!
.love your plectrum and treat it with respect.

Marigold was a Nirvana B-side, but dave wrote it. Dave is a great rock musician.anyone who has seen the foos live would know that and not talk shit in this forum. As far as his voice..listen to Everlong acoustic and reasses.
