Any of you guys ever heard of them. I saw them in the Make Poverty History dvd they where amazing.

yeah been a fan for years. They ooze australia, and thats pretty cool. never been, but get a sense of what its like from the music.
The odd thing is that John Butler is from California and moved to Australia when older.
They have a pearl jam vibe in that they use their music to convey opinions on social issues and issues of importance.
When they play and when John plays, you can tell he plays from his heart.0 -
I had no idea that John was a Californian boy. Well, no wonders why he loves playing this state so much
The first time i saw him was at the Power to the Peaceful Festival back in 2004. I didn't even know who he was, but as soon as Michael Franti introduced him, and John started playing, he totally blew me and my boyfriend away. I highly recommend downloading the Power to the Peaceful 2004 show on archive.org.made me become a fan overnight.
