Ryan Adams and the Cardinals

going to see ryan adams and the cardinals in next month and was wondering how much of Ryan's solo stuff they play cos I have no knowledge of the cardinals' stuff. while I'm sure its good I would like to see a few tracks from heartbreaker/gold etc as well.

    thanks a lot. that was exactly what I was after. seems I can expect some older gems which is cool. I NEED to hear my winding wheel and la cienega just smiled.

    I'm going to see him next month and can't wait. There are many songs I'd love to hear, but I'm REALLY hoping he does Wonderwall. Others that would be great include: Nightbirds, Avalanche, La Cienega Just Smiled and Blue Sky Blues.

    I have seen him once and it started off great, then it all went downhill. He started arguing with the audience and just rambling. I am a big fan and I love most of his music but the show was awful. Sorry to be a downer but it was just so disappointing.

    Yea i can't wait. I'm going to see him in amsterdam in october. I saw him in jersey last month and i think it was the best show i ever saw.

    hes incredible but his live shows are definitely hit or miss depending on his mood.

    i saw him three times two weeks ago and he was amazing. super tight and the setlists were wonderful.

    him doing 'wonderwall' is one of the pleasures of my life. it's one of my fave songs and when ryan does it, i just melt.

    this is the 17 year old thread the stellar search feature brought up….

    anyway, I just got notification that my oct. 14 ryan adams and the cardinals show has been canceled “by the event organizer.” other shows show the same but most appear to still be a go.

    anyone got any insight into what’s going on?
    If I had known then what I know now...

    I would think you, of all people, would be a little more sensitive toward someone with mental health issues.

    He’s breaking them up. Shows are getting middling reviews from fans and they aren’t selling well.

    Also, I know he was cleared of 17yo stuff, but this is describing his issues very lightly.

    Shit. I was looking forward to it. I’ve seen him twice and he killed it both times.
