looking to get into some new jam bands and such music. lately, i've been listening to disco biscuits, umphrey's mcgee, keller williams, drive-by truckers, widespread panic, etc.

any suggestions on further listening?

(obviously, i'm a huge fan of phish, DMB, allman brothers, widespread panic, and grateful dead...haha so those are already covered.)

My house mates are all obsessed with Bisco and are going to see them this weekend. If you're into jazz fusion type jambands I'd check out Garaj Mahal. They're fuckin' awesome. You can find them on http://www.archive.org

I also like String Cheese Incident, and moe.
you couldn't swing if you were hangin' from a palm tree in a hurricane.
  • sound tribe sector nine (STS9) is amazing... completely different from any other jam band out right now, many dont even consider them a jam band. hot buttered rum is really cool too, they're alot more folky/bluegrassey. moe. was already mentioned but they deserve a second one.

The Black Crowes! Not their albums but their live shows... Simply top-notch, kick-ass musicians. They have a revolving cast of characters but they always hook up with great talent.

Beat me to it. STS9 is sick, the stuff they do is unreal insaneness. It's all instrumental trance-fusion jamming. If you like that and the Disco Biscuits. Perpetual Groove is right up your alley. also these sites might help:

    and for streaming.
