dont know if this topic has been made,

i think the best is relationship of command

anyway, this is a dedication topic

but also can someone tell me what meaning of these lyrics mean in the song - lopsided

is this just a life preserver
or a bivouac tenure

I think a lot of the lyrics, not only with ATDI but also the Mars Volta, are written the way they are to be left up to interpretation. So my answer would be that those lyrics mean whatever you want them to mean.

Great Band. I love Relationship of Command one of my favorite all time albums.

As far as lyrics go...... I have no clue what cedric is trying to convey sometimes :)

At the drive in was an amazing band. I have days which I wish they were still around. But then we would have never had The Mars Volta. ATDI could have been as big as Nirvana if they wanted.

I love love love love LOVE At The Drive-In.

Relationship Of Command and In/Casino/Out are my favourite.

Though I have to agree, it's hard to know what things mean sometimes. Though that doesn't stop me from belting out the lyrics as loud as I can...and fucking up my throat...no idea how he sings/screams so well. I'd love to be able to scream along to the end of Invalid Letter Dept. without feeling like a 40 a day smoker for a week afterwards.

    Ah well. :D

'Relationship of Command' is one of the best records ever. Some of the best vocals I've ever heard.
    Which came first,
the bad idea or me befallen by it?
