Have they ever been on stage together? I love Adam, but think he might be borderline crazy

Not sure if they know each other, but I remember Adam on the cover of Rolling Stone years ago wearing a Pearl Jam t-shirt. So I suppose he's a fan."I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."

I dunno, it'd be cool to see em together.. I'm fed up of all the Counting Crows hate around here and it'd be good to see some of those fans drop off the radar.'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'

not sure but they're both Springsteen fans.... here's to hoping for a decent Springsteen tribute someday. w/ the likes of The Arcade Fire, The Killers, The Wallflowers, The Goo Goo Dolls, RHCP (fans of Nebraska), Counting Crows, Tom Morrello, PJ or Ed, Badly Drawn Boy, etc.0

A few years back I heard Adam on Howard Stern, he said Eddie had some beef with him. He said they had hung out a couple of times, got along great & that Ed was very cool. However, after the Crows let one of their songs be used in a Coke commercial, Eddie left Adam a book called "The Evils of Coca-Cola" in his dressing room. I believe both bands were playing a festival in Seattle.
Not word for word, but this is what I recall. My lips are shaking.......0 -

Yeah I can believe that, I love Ed but he could be a bit pretentious when he wanted to be. I'm sure someone could've written a book called 'The evils of EPIC records' if they'd tried. Corporation sucks.'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. Well, shit... you've obviously given it some thought
! Could you work Atlantic City and Murder Inc. into that setlist? If I had known then what I know now...

Surely a stupid little incident like that didn't mar his opinion of a great album?'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'

wonder if Ed has dropped Pete Townsend any not-so-subtle hints for all the shit that Who songs have been used to promote? because if not, then doing that to Duritz would pretty much make Ed a douche. unless of course it was meant as a joke and nothing more.
hell, you can go down the list of cover songs that PJ has done and look at all the heroes that have allowed their song to be used in commercials....the Who? Rolling Stones? Johnny Cash? AC/DC? that's just the tip of the iceberg. I guess it's ok for an artist who's sold 100+ million albums and doesn't even need money but not ok for an artist who hasn't had a real standout hit in over 10 years.0 -

Ed's not really in a great place to point fingers (wasn't Yellow Ledbetter in the last episode of Friends?). I think it's hard to keep your hands spotless when you're on a major label.0

yeah, and for the record, I think that a lot of things that may have been ripped on by Eddie when he was younger may not even phase him now; like most of us have grown as well.
Like I was watching the youtube clip of the famous grammy award speech that caused all the hype and I realized what he meant by the "this doesn't mean a thing" bit. He wasn't dissing the award at all; what he meant was that there were many artists there (as he directly said) and then when he said that, about the not meaning a thing, he meant that in regard to them winning over someone else that didn't mean that they were better.
The media in any way at all, inspires a lot of bad things that may not even be true.Baby, You Wouldn't Last a Minute on The Creek......
Together we will float like angels.........
In the moment that you left the room, the album started skipping, goodbye to beauty shared with the ones that you love.........0 -

I couldn't agree more."I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. That isn't quite the same thing.
But I think it is funny how Eddie bashes everyone who wants to make a dime, but defends his buddy Pete left and right. I personally don't care if artists sell their songs, but don't be a hypocrite.
The biggest irony would be if the Coca Cola book story is true. Yeah, coke has a long history of horrible employment practices, but Eddie, Mr "go-green. love the environment" doesn't call out the Who for selling "Happy Jack" for a freaking HUMMER commercial.I love my female wife...
