undone (the sweater song) - at no other time in musical history would this song be acceptable. I don't give Weezer the highest of ranks, but this is the song of the 90s, and the end of hte song is soooo 90s. I mean the importanace of non-senseical lyrics and the whole fucking thing. If you're from the 90s, you know what I mean.

I am sooo tired of Nirvana!!!! Damn Kurt Kobain for dying... we will never know if the band could last if he actually lived. Living as an artist makes it (sustaining fame... or whatever you call it) more difficult

Killing In The Name - RATM

The band represented change, in attitude, the presentation of music, in musical creativity and this song typifies the band.

I'd go with that one. They played that one a lot in nightclubs.
I'd also go with 'Would?' and 'No Rain'. I love the Sweater Song though.
  • The Sweater Song wouldn't be acceptable if it were released today? I don't know about that. Pinkerton was ahead of it's time that's for sure, but Blue is fucking timeless.

You have to pick some one-hit-wonder band for the ultimate 90s song unacceptable at any other period in music. Everyone will know it and only it by that artist making it ultimate. Something like Baby Got Back or Ice Ice Baby because those songs would never make it now or later but were somehow huge back then...

The best 90s song is Teen Spirit, I don't care if you hate it. What other band had the impact Nirvana did? Don't say Pearl Jam because they didn't. Nirvana is still influencing an incredible amount of bands today, a lot more than PJ unfortunately.

Undone would be a hit today, I can almost guarantee it. As far as Beck - Loser.......I cant stand that song, its a part of the 90s that I would rather forget.
